In celebration of International Youth Day, the day\u2019s agenda was a surprise, gradually unveiled as we explored. Our journey began in the heart of Brussels, where we visited several iconic landmarks: the stunning Grand Place, the famous Manneken Pis, the historic Galeries Saint Hubert, established in 1847, making them Europe\u2019s first shopping galleries, and the majestic St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral . This Gothic masterpiece, built in the 13th century, is not only the primary Catholic church in Brussels but also in all of Belgium, known for hosting royal weddings.<\/p>\n<p>Late in the morning, we sampled the city\u2019s famous fries, which, surprisingly, didn\u2019t quite live up to the hype.<\/p>\n<p>Wenwei Zhang, the event manager, and Sandrine Kalala, the communication manager, warmly welcomed us to TRANSFORMA BXL \u2013 Innovation Playground. TRANSFORMA BXL is a coworking and innovation hub designed to foster grassroots innovation, creativity, and sustainability within organizations.<\/p>\n<p>The day ended with a surprise destination: Antwerp.<\/p>\n<p>Antwerp is one of the most significant commercial hubs in northern Europe, thanks to the Scheldt River, whose depth allows large merchant ships to dock. Today, it stands as Belgium\u2019s second-largest city, following Brussels.<\/p>\n<p>As soon as we stepped off the train, we were greeted by the breathtaking Antwerp Central Station. Despite the stifling heat, our spirits remained high as we made our way to the Grote Markt (Main Square), the awe-inspiring Antwerp Cathedral, and the historic Het Steen fortress.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another fantastic day, this time organized by Ana, Filipa, and Rita.
