On August 11, 2024, a group of young people began their discovery of Germany, part of the project “Empowering Youth
For a United Europe”, promoted by the Terras do Ave School Group, with the first stop in Frankfurt. This adventure began with arrival at one of the airports (Frankfurt Hahn). Young people were challenged to discover the city using wikiloc to create a cultural itinerary, and explored the historic center (Römerberg), the different religious monuments, and other iconic places. Cultural differences and disparities in the cost of living were quickly found, knowledge that allowed enriching life experience and knowledge about the European space.
This opportunity is providing the development of linguistic skills in the use of the English language and autonomy of participants, in several dimensions, as well as a collaborative spirit.
