Students in 1st Cycle travel through the enchanted world of stories in Bilingual Learning.

On the 22^nd, 23^rd, and 24^th of April, reading mediator Raquel Almeida, in representation of Poets and Dragons Society, made the imagination of all the students in 1^st Cycle fly with the stories she came to tell and sing.
For the first time in AETA, this independent publishing house seeks to awaken the reading gene and the magic which reading sparks in young people, promoting contact with the English language.
As if entering a magic portal, the students were led to participate in the unfolding of the stories they heard. So, they went through the worlds of old ladies and mysteries, witches and parties, and dragons with problems… This interaction between pupils and the reading mediator allowed, not only charm them into letting themselves be captivated by the world of books, but also to lead them to understand that, even when playing, they can learn English.
At the end of each book, the enthusiasm of all students, from 1^st to 4^th grades, was well felt in the laughter, the clapping and the cries for “One more!”. Therefore, besides “Glory, glory, end of story!” we may add “The story is over, cheers for the storyteller!”.

The 1^st Cycle English teachers

Nos dias 22, 23 e 24 de abril, a mediadora de leitura Raquel Almeida, em representação da Poets and Dragons Society, fez voar a imaginação de todos os alunos do 1º Ciclo através das histórias que veio contar e cantar.
Pela primeira vez presente no AETA, esta editora independente procura despertar o gene da leitura e da magia que a mesma desperta nos mais novos, promovendo o contacto com a língua inglesa.
Como se por um portal mágico entrassem, os alunos foram levados a participar no desenrolar das histórias que ouviam. Assim, percorreram os espaços de velhas e mistérios, bruxas e festas e dragões com problemas…  Esta interação entre os alunos e a mediadora de leitura permitiu, não só, encantar os alunos para se deixarem cativar pelo mundo dos livros, mas também levá-los a perceber que até a brincar podem aprender Inglês.
No final de cada livro, o entusiasmo de todos os alunos, do 1º ao 4º ano, foi bem sentido nas gargalhadas, nos aplausos e nos pedidos “Lê mais uma!”. Por isso, além de “Vitória, vitória! Acabou-se a história.” podemos acrescentar “A história acabou, palmas para quem a contou!”.
